Sheila Long – Independent Director with The Pampered Chef

Your choice for FUN in your kitchen in the DC/VA area
www.pamperedchef.biz/sheilalong

If the heart of the home is truly the kitchen, I strive to help each and every one of my customers find their place of happiness there.  I have been with The Pampered Chef for eight and a half years and still find it fun and exciting to introduce new cooks and professionals to the wonderful products which make your time in the kitchen more enjoyable and memorable.

As a military spouse, I have had many opportunities to learn unusual techniques that make new food, fun.

As a mom, I needed to find a way to make better use of my time and keep dinner interesting.

As a school teacher, I enjoyed sharing skills with others and helping to master them.

As a southerner, I learned it’s all about the FOOD!    And let’s face it…we all have to eat.

I would love to have the opportunity to share ideas to help your kitchen be more effective for you, but most importantly, help you to form new traditions and build on cherished ones. It’s not difficult to make your meals memorable, you just need the right tools.

I provide wedding and engagement photography services in the Washington, DC metro area. My process is easy: I will shoot your entire wedding day for a flat fee. I do not provide prints, but rather will give you a disc containing hi-res digital images of your shoot. You can use these images to make as many prints as you want! That way, you are not locked into a specific package before you even see your images, and can continue to make prints for years to come. I can recommend photo labs and/or websites to use to print your images and make very impressive photo albums. If you are interested in having me design and print your album for you, I would be happy to do so for an additional fee. Please visit my website to see samples of my style of photography, which uses both photojournalism and classic portraiture styles, in both black & white and color prints.

10. Don’t worry about the airline tickets anymore – they are now electronic to almost all destinations on most airline carriers.

9. Don’t over pack – it will cost you more because of airline fees!

8. Ask for a map if the car rentalcompany you choose doesn’t have a GPS in the car.

7. Most hotels no longer have honeymoon suites, they often just have upgradeable rooms to a better view etc.

6. Airline carriers will still charge you their fees, even if you had to change your wedding date because of Aunt Edith!

5. For car rentals - book the most common (mid size) and ask for a free upgrade. Most often you will get the upgrade.

4. Resorts do have honeymoon suites but charge extra because of the name. Get the prices of their different suites and compare. Usually same rooms but differnent prices.

3. Ditch packing the shampoo and conditioners, most hotels, resorts and cruise ships offer these complimentary. Plus less you have to pack.

2. Make sure you book the bride in her maiden name on the airlines flights, or else she can’t get checked in for her fight due to TSA regulations.

1. Can’t decide where to go on your honeymoon? Take a cruise, you get to visit several locations in one trip with just having to unpack once.  Go back to one of the locations if you want, on your anniversary!
